Michael Saunders & Company completed one the most significant residential sales of the year, with the $9 million closing of a Gulf-front, Asian-inspired retreat in the Sanderling Club on Siesta Key. Realtors® Mel Goldsmith and Jan Goldsmith of Michael Saunders & Company’s St. Armands Circle office represented and marketed the property.

It has five bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths in 6,500-plus square feet of living space and sits on 143 feet of bayfront, with city skyline views. Casa de las Olas—House of Waves—a six-bedroom Mediterranean estate at 1143 Casey Key Road, sold in February for $6,169,900, making it the highest priced residential sale that month in Sarasota County. Villa Lago Eterno, a 13,000-square-foot Tuscan-inspired estate built in 2014 in The Lake Club at Lakewood Ranch, sold in February for $4.6 million, making it the highest-ever resale in the Lakewood Ranch. Barbara Najmy of Michael Saunders & Company was the listing agent.
