And speaking of individuals, for eleven years Deborah Pohorylo has been a fixture on the team as Title Examiner. We asked her to partake in “23 About Me” to discover a glimpse into her own story – from her taste for sushi, her history as a lead singer, and why she dreams of shiny, streamlined transportation.
Choose one: country estate, city penthouse or beachfront living?
Country estate…but more for the country part and not so much the estate. I would be fine with a tiny house on a lot of land.

Favorite cuisine?
Japanese. I really enjoy sitting at the bar and watching the sushi chefs create their masterpieces.
How did you first find your way to this area?
Fourteen years ago my young family relocated from Boca Raton, Florida.
Do you have a special talent?
Not many people know that I was lead singer in a band for years.
How did you spend your childhood summers?
Making some glorious mud pie creation in my “kitchen” in the back yard.
If you could have lunch with someone from history, who would it be?
My Mom.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be?
Bora Bora, French Polynesia (see question about Bucket List

Choose one: Boating, golfing, or the Arts? Why?
Most definitely boating because there is so much to see of Sarasota and Manatee counties by boat that you wouldn’t get to experience otherwise.
What living person do you most admire?
My sister…For so many reasons.
What do you love about working with Michael Saunders & Company?
Getting to spend the day doing what I truly love as a career and the people I get to do it with.
What restaurant do you go to more than any other?
Pacific Rim and el Greco Cafe
What is the prettiest place you have been locally?
One of my most favorite places is Robinson Preserve. Every time I go I see something new. Whether it be some new species of bird or a flower I spot for the first time, I always keep my eyes open.

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
Being outdoors; either inline skating, paddle boarding, boating or hiking.
When you have friends visit from out of town, where do you take them?
I take them on a tour of the coastal beaches starting on Anna Maria Island, winding up on Siesta Key. It never disappoints.
What do you like to cook?
Anything and everything. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies and a true passion.
Name one thing on your bucket list:
Traveling the country in an Airstream Travel Trailer.
