The 2019 annual Lakewood Ranch Tour of Homes takes place October 18-November 17 with more than 90 model and move-in ready homes available to visit, explore, and enjoy. Our agents are excited to play their part and will even be doing an Instagram Takeover of the Michael Saunders & Company Instagram account (@michaelsaundersre) one day next week! We also invited Pam Ali, Manager of our Lakewood Ranch real estate office, to weigh in with some top tips for finding the perfect Lakewood Ranch home and experiencing this exciting all-month occasion.

Since searching for a new home can be overwhelming, here is a checklist to help make your tour both fun and productive:
1. Strategize at your starting point
We recommend you start at the Michael Saunders & Company Lakewood Ranch office to speak to one of our dedicated real estate professionals who will assist you with your tour. It is important to have a professional help guide you through decisions on lot placement, upgrades, and possible incentives – while always remaining mindful of the resale market if the time comes to sell your home.
2. Speak to a financial professional
Whether you are getting a mortgage or paying cash, we encourage you to be ready on the day we tour so that you are in the best negotiating position when you are ready to make an offer.
3. Bring your phone and take pictures!
You will want to take tons of photos while on the tour so that you and your agent can discuss which features you liked the most. After a day of touring, sometimes remembering everything each home offers is a bit confusing. Having images on your smartphone will be a big help.
4. Get to know Lakewood Ranch
Allow enough time to stop in one of the Lakewood Ranch information centers with your Michael Saunders & Company agent. There is a great deal to learn about our nationally ranked best-selling master-planned community. Visiting the information centers will allow you to hear about how Lakewood Ranch came to be and all the amenities it offers. The north center is located at 11506 Rangeland Pkway and you can find the south center at 6220 University Pkwy.
5. Nosh and muse
After your tour, grab a bite at one of the many fantastic eateries in our area. The weather will be great…so you can dine “al ’fresco” at the Main Street Trattoria, Nancy’s Bar-B-Q, or Lucky Pelican. Relax and imagine your new house with many-a-night to eat outside, enjoying yourself at Music on Main, or relaxing poolside.
