Highest sale on Longboat Key since 2016
SARASOTA, Fla. (March 26, 2018) Janet Walter of the Michael Saunders & Company South Longboat Key office has brought the buyer to the highest priced home sold thus far for 2018 in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties. Selling for $6.8 million, the home located at 6899 Gulf of Mexico Dr. went under contract in nine days.
Located on the north end of Longboat Key, directly beachfront, this home is a beautiful expression of classic coastal sophistication. Built in 2010 by Whitehead Construction, and designed by local architect Robert Rokop, the property was high on Walter’s radar the minute it came to market.

“I have known these customers for years, back to my college days at Denison University,” said Janet Walter. “As soon as we started discussing their move from San Diego to Sarasota, I began scouring the inventory to find them just the right property. When I learned this one was coming to market, I immediate scheduled a preview and Facetimed with them for over an hour at the property. They fell in love immediately.”
Walter subsequently scheduled a tour during a local visit, taking them by boat to see the property from the water, and then spent time showing the relocating-couple the various restaurants, local amenities and travel route to the airport to see if the location would fit their need for privacy, yet convenience.
